Viking Garden Buildings provide quality timber stables that are designed to provide long lasting comfortable stabling for your horse(s). We produce two types of stable that cater for both the leisure and professional market. We are also able to design and build custom wooden stables to suit your specific requirements. Our wooden stables are manufactured using top quality joinery grade redwood shiplap, machined with our own deep tongue and groove pressure treated tannalised timber that needs no further treatment. We manufacture box units, hay barns, corner units and tack rooms and because our stables are fully sectional they can be added to at a later date. The framing is 75 x 50mm or 100 x 50mm planned with eased edges and graded to C16. The kickboards are in o.s.b (re-constituted particle board using waterproof glue) to minimise splintering if damaged. It is this high specification of materials and attention to detail that makes VIking Garden Building timber stables excellent value for money. Erecting
- Fitting and bolting down to customers ready prepared single course of brickwork.
- Damp proof membrane attached to underside of timber to prevent moisture rising.
- Our erection service is included in the cost of the stable

Height
- Height to eaves 7'3 (2210mm).
- Height to ridge 9'3 (2820mm)

Framing
3" x 2" (75 x 50 mm) Cls selected and graded Scandinavian timber set approx 23" (590mm) centres,coach screwed or bolted at panel joints.

Cladding
16mm x 125mm selected red wood shiplap, pressure treated and fastened with rust resistant nails.

Stable Doors
- Total height 82" x 48" (2083mm x 1200mm) wide x 2 ½ (65mm) wide.
- Lower door 48" (1200mm) high with angled top, anti chew strip, osb kickboard and kick over bolt.
- Top door ledged and braced 3" x 2" (75mm x 50 mm) with 22mm tongue and groove boards.
- Both doors fitted with galvanised Brenton pad bolts , galvanised cabin hooks and 18" galvanised heavy duty hinges.

Roof Purlins
- 4" x 2" (100 x 50mm) Cls Scandinavian selected and graded timber, spaced at 24" (590mm) centres and sitting on prefabricated 3" x 2" (75 x 50mm) apex frames.

Gable Ends
- All gable ends finished with tannalised barge boards and finials.

Roof Cladding
- Onduline which is an extremely durable roofing sheet available in assorted colours.
- Black supplied as standard and comes with a manufacturers 15 year warranty.

Roof Lights
- One clear sheet per stable fitted in place of Onduline sheet.

Canopies
- Canopies extend to 4ft (1220mm) strengthened with diagonal bracing. The underside of canopy is boarded in.

Kickboards
- 15mm sterling board, splinter and moisture resistant, fitted to 4ft (1220mm) high with horizontal stud work between framing.

Tack rooms
- Dividing walls fully lined to ridge for improved security.

Windows
- Perspex windows fitted with 2" x 2" galvanised weld mesh fitted on the inside.

Guttering
- Black 4" (100mm) half round guttering and down pipes fitted to front only.
